The free agent has been training at the Saudi Arabian side since September and signed a training contract.
However, he may have boosted his chances of getting a move to the Saudi Pro League club as coach Steven Gerrard named him in the team that will compete in the friendly at Ettifaq Stadium.
Lingard went on to score four minutes into Al-Ettifaq's first match in their new ground as they drew 2-2.

If Lingard impresses enough to earn a permanent deal, he will be the third Englishman to join Steven Gerrard's team.
Jordan Henderson and Demarai Gray are already at the club, while Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and ex-Lyon star Moussa Dembele are also among Gerrard's squad.
DID YOU KNOW?
Lingard has been a free agent since leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.
The former Manchester United star had a trial at West Ham but it was reported that coach David Moyes felt his fitness was not up to the Premier League standard.
The 30-year-old has not featured in a competitive match since he made a two-minute cameo against Manchester United in April. His previous match was against Tottenham in early March.

Lingard will hope to have impressed Al-Ettifaq in the friendly match in order to earn a full contract with the club.
